Let's do a quick check-in:

  • Are you dealing with leaks even when your product doesn’t seem full?
  • Do leaks seep through to your clothes, especially at night or while lying down?
  • Noticed more leaking when using a booster pad?
  • Experiencing any irritation or rash around your legs or groin?

If you’re nodding "yes" to any of these, we've got some super helpful tips and tricks for applying your incontinence products.

They just might change the game for you!

How to prepare your incontinence product

Did you know there's a nifty trick to getting the most out of your incontinence pads, pull-ups, and slips?

Just fold them in half lengthways before putting them on. This fold transforms them into a boat-like shape that's not only more comfortable but super effective. It channels everything to the central low point of the pad, pant or slip for better absorption and pops up those all-important leak guards.

Leak guards are the heroes that line the inside of the leg holes in pull-ups and slips, and the centre sides of pads. Fresh out of the pack, they might be a bit shy, lying flat and not doing their best work.

But with this simple fold, they stand tall and keep everything away from the leg cuffs, helping you stay dry and confident.

Why you should measure your waist

Finding the perfect fit for your incontinence pants and slips is key to staying comfy and leak-free.

If they're too tight or too big, you might end up with some unwanted skin irritation or leaks.

Here’s a tip to keep things smooth and secure: Measure up!

Grab a tape and measure at the widest point between your hip and waist. Then, hop on over to our website and compare your measurement with the "waist measurement" listed for our products to find your perfect match.

Remember, just like your favourite jeans, incontinence products vary in size from brand to brand. For a just-right fit, you should be able to slide two fingers under the waistband and one finger under the leg openings while wearing them.

How to apply Invizi Slips

If you're using adult nappies, also known as slips, here’s a little trick to keep everything snug and secure:

Start by fastening the bottom two tabs upward first. This neat move helps the leg cuffs hug closely around your legs and groin area.

For the top two tabs, angle them slightly downwards. Why? It helps prevent any little escape routes for leaks at the back, making sure everything stays contained right where it should be.

If you're a carer helping someone with their slip while they're lying down, here's a comfortable application method for both of you:

Start by gently rolling them onto their side. Slide the slip between their legs and pull it into place.

Next, unfold the back part of the slip and carefully roll them onto their back again. Adjust the slip at the front to ensure a snug fit, then secure the tabs.

This smooth one-roll technique is easier on the wearer - and kinder on your back too.

How to apply Invizi Pants

Slipping into our Invizi Pants is easy, but here are a few steps to make sure you're getting the most out of them:

1. Pick the perfect size

First things first, choose the right size for a cosy and secure fit. You want your pants to hug your waist and legs snugly but not be so tight they restrict movement or cause discomfort.

Don't forget to measure your waist first!

2. Step into the pants

Stand tall and grab the waistband, slip one leg in, then the other, and pull them up smoothly over your legs to your waist. Make sure they sit nicely on your hips without twisting.

If standing is tough, no worries. You can also put them on while sitting down.

Work them over one foot, then the other, and pull them up. If you need a hand, ask a loved one or carer to help you out.

3. Adjust for comfort

Once you're in, adjust the waistband to sit comfortably and smooth out any kinks or bunch-ups in the fabric.

4. Final fit check

Give them a quick once-over to ensure they’re not sagging or bunching anywhere. They should feel like a second skin!

And there you go! You’re all set with your pull-up pants, ready to take on the day with confidence.

Need to take them off? Just tear the side seams for an easy exit.

We hope these tips help you make the most of your continence aids!
